SNARK of the WEEK! | 05.30.12 | News You Could Lose! #4

Welcome to another edition of Snark… and no, it’s not getting any prettier. Yes I went off on Obama about the ‘kill list’ thing. You guys knew it was coming. (Two words for the thumbnail on this vid: DUCK FACE.)

Episode #4 gamut:

  • Obama’s “moral” ‘kill list’ is anything but
  • Fukushima sushi surprise
  • Coming soon: our vaccines, Made in China™!
  • Amanda Peet schlepping vaccines for the UN and if you don’t buy one, parents, you’re a parasite! (I take all my medical advice from Hollywood actresses, by the way)
  • TSA knows how pay a billion dollars to SPOT pedo victims
  • The CIA Hollywood propagandafest is still going strong
  • Our $1200 TRILLION DOLLAR (not properly regulated) derivatives market

…and I’m sure there is something else but I can’t remember now.

Ah…the news…good times. It’s like that one time when you got put in a mental institution and they wanted you to draw your feelings, and the orderlies smiled as they handed you a single yellow crayon…

Next episode? OCCUPY BILDERBERG!

SNARK of the WEEK | Memorial Day 2012 | News You Could Lose!

Welcome to a Memorial Day military-themed Snark… Considering last Saturday’s was unusually long, I decided to maybe start doing a couple a week and breaking it all down into smaller bits. This one seems to fit with the theme of the day.

The gamut: who cares about Posse Comitatus, the new and not improved big brother spy grid straight to you from the dystopian nightmares of George Orwell where everything down to using the word “snow” online might get you spied on, the unlawfulness and unconstitutionality of preventative/preemptive war, taxpayers pour a bajillion dollars into the runaway war machine, Hillary’s Yemeni propaganda campaign goes live, al-CIA-duh, Kentucky Fried Bilderbergers…and I’m sure there is something else but I can’t remember now.

Ah…the news…good times. It’s like a train wreck: you don’t want to witness the horror but you can’t look away. It’s worse than that one time your dad got drunk, dressed up in your mom’s swimsuit, and positioned a spotlight on himself in your driveway while he did his best rendition of Cher’s “Believe” for the whole neighborhood…something like that.

DHS keyword big brother spylist is out (and silly); here are some sentences to get you spied on by the government!

A Freedom of Information Act request forced the Department of Homeland Security to release a department reference book complete with a list of keywords which their analysts use to monitor social media sites for potential terrorist threats. These words/phrases are considered to ‘reflect adversely’ on the government. Also, when I write “monitor social media sites,” what I really mean is wantonly spy on the American people.

English is an intricate monolith, and I have heard many times it is among one of the hardest modern languages to learn. That being said, this list is one of the most broad, ambiguous lists of words ever. According to The Daily Mail:

A senior Homeland Security official told the Huffington Post that the manual ‘is a starting point, not the endgame’ in maintaining situational awareness of natural and man-made threats and denied that the government was monitoring signs of dissent. However the agency admitted that the language used was vague and in need of updating.

Not the endgame? Oooh, so it’s going to get even more ridiculous? And it’s in need of updating? Updated to what? The whole dictionary?

Without further ado, I give you actual sentences that would get you spied on by the government in a social media setting according to the homeland security analyst reference (keywords have been bolded):

  • I went to the airport to ride on an airplane.
  • I do not eat pork.
  • The storm brought hail and sleet which later turned to ice and snow.
  • That cloud looks like a rabbit.
  • He is smart and he majored in agriculture.
  • Exposure to salmonella and e. coli bacteria can cause you to get sick with food poisoning.
  • Exercise can aid in recovery and illness prevention.
  • Cars burn gas.
  • The plot was enriched by the addition of pirates.
  • A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Seems totally reasonable, right?

Other random words that are no doubt harmlessly used thousands of times a day:

  • help
  • watch
  • burst
  • bust
  • wave
  • electric
  • recall
  • flu
  • response
  • collapse
  • “social media”

Even more reasons for scorn and derision:

  • Any mention of cops or police or ‘authorities’ in any way makes the list.
  • Any mention of pretty much any Middle Eastern country makes the list.
  • Not only does Mexico make the list, but the adjective southwest was even on there. Several American cities were listed as well, including Tuscon and San Diego.
  • You can’t mention DHS or FEMA without being monitored. Naturally.
  • In the weather section, they spelled the word ‘lightning’ as ‘lightening.’

This list is so laughably broad and vague, why not just go ahead and admit everything is being spied on and monitored? It’d be much more believable.

Think about it in common sense terms. Does anyone honestly believe bona fide terrorists really hatch all of their nefarious plans by spelling them out in these plain terms on, say, Facebook or Twitter? Yeah, I’m gonna go with nope.

But, don’t worry, Homeland Security is not monitoring for “dissent”. That’s why they just randomly bought 450 million hollow-point rounds a few months ago.

This is just an excuse to spy on everyone online, and a shoddy one at that. George Orwell would be so horrified.

SNARK of the WEEK | Sat. May 26, 2012 | News You Could Lose! #2

I’m baaaaaaaack. Round two. I had a really hard time choosing what to leave out this time because the news this week was MESSED UP.

The gamut: US favorable on giving Turkey armed drones, “birthers” are back, Illinois hates real food, loves Monsanto, Monsanto loves unleashing mutations, the UN wants to save the planet (just not the people living on it), buying our cheap trash from China, Merck sucks, flu shots help pregnant women if you are a eugenicist, World Health Org says Fukushima radiation is awesome, TSA wants to grope you — hires pedo bears to do it — and is training said pedos to detect bombs in our crotches, Eric Holder might get held in contempt (of humanity? already is) and the Dept. of Justice on obstructing justice, love the drones because the gov loves you, meet the felon who took 40% of the vote from Obama in WV (question remaining: why did 60% vote Obama???), coal plant closures cost Americans big in electricity bills, climate change and WWII are compared for the lose (not even making that up, and if you say I am, you are a denier!), don’t worry — Jamie Dimon Fed appt. is more “advisory” — too bad he took his own advice and lost billions…and I’m sure there is something else but I can’t remember now.

Ah…the news…good times. It’s like a train wreck: you don’t want to see the horror but you can’t look away. It’s worse than a bad soap opera written in a language you don’t know but there aren’t any other channels on your TV so you watch out of sheer boredom…something like that.

Random Weird Thing I Did Not Mention, But This Made Me Scared Simply Because It Exists: http://data.massivehealth.com/ People download an app and take pictures of what they eat and send them in to this massive database throughout the day from all over the world. Big brother much? The data is compiled in this international health initiative that keeps track of where healthy eating is happening with green (good), yellow (caution), and red (bad). It says, “Other apps tell you about your food. We tell you about yourself.” Creeeeeeeeeepy.

Bye Bye NATO Summit! We’ll Miss You! (Go Back to Sleep America, No Police State to See Here…)

Well, the NATO Summit came and went, but everything was just a wonderful happy fun time of sheer glee and magic sauce! We really should just do that all the time. What fun. Thank you tyranny!

Don’t worry America, go back to sleep, your government loves the living hell out of you.

NATO Summit Descends: Hello Police State, Goodbye America

Melissa Melton
May 20, 2012

(Look @ these goons…Chi police @ NATO Summit pic via Warincontext.org)

One only has to face the images of innocent children murdered in unjust NATO strikes and occupations all over the world to empathize with this weekend’s NATO Summit protesters. NATO world leaders have converged upon Chicago under cover of millions of dollars in militarized protection. Images and video abound of unarmed people being violently arrested, others bleeding from baton wounds. Live streams of cop swarms, like piranha in full riot gear, helmets with shields and sticks at the ready are barely recognizable as American streets.

(Yep, this is America…or what was America. Armed police ratio to unarmed protestors pic taken today via @AllAboutHelp.)

Anyone still desperately clutching to that “it can’t happen here” normalcy bias need only look at the proof that it is happening, right here, right now. Freedom of speech? The right to protest, to peaceably assemble, or to petition for a governmental redress of grievances? Maybe if we still lived in a constitutional republic, you could. But you don’t. We don’t. Not anymore.

This is nothing new. Don’t be fooled. We aren’t slipping into corporate fascism. We’re already there by design. This slithering thing slinking around and donning our government as a face mask has been completely taken over by corporate interests for some time. The elite overlords wear and operate our president like a hand puppet; as long as he can continue centralizing power in the executive and selling us out to his big corporation masters, he doesn’t mind. He will keep signing executive orders that diminish the Constitution little by little, until all that’s left of the fabric is a useless piece of thread.

Can we really expect our congresspeople to even read the bills they sign? Save for the few that are seemingly (magically) not corruptible, the rest are busy little insiders and those bills that govern our nation are quite long, after all. It’s more believable that some clerk passes them a one- or two-page breakdown of what to vote on, based upon whatever the lobbyists paid them to support. Remember when prior-Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi infamously told members of congress “We have to pass the [healthcare reform] bill so that you can find out what is in it”?

Oh, is that how it works now? Better get a name stamp. Hand-signing can be so time-consuming.

When asked about this weekend’s summit, our president showed his sad disconnection from reality (or was it empathy?): “I’ve been asking: Why is everybody making such a big fuss? This isn’t as big as Taste of Chicago,” Obama joked to a Chicago Sun-Times writer on Saturday. Remind me again: how many millions has Taste of Chicago killed? Obama should know what the big fuss of Occupy is all about; his party and their socialist/communist community organizers have co-opted it in a bid to get the class war of his dreams going. Rise up. Hammer down. Martial law. Dictatorship.

Obama does not seem to know the definition of war (or transparency or promises or republic or…). His administration claims the [imaginary] War on Terror is over, but words don’t walk. Afghanistan is officially America’s longest war. Our troops still aren’t home. Their stay? Extended. Speaking of extended, looking at the proliferation of Yemen drone strikes and our president’s most recent executive order, there is more UN-inspired war to come.

At least today at the NATO Summit, Afghanistan’s Karzai thanked our president for all of our money: “I’m bringing to you and to the people of the United States the gratitude of the Afghan people for the support that your taxpayers’ money has provided Afghanistan over the past decade and for the difference that it has made to the well-being of the Afghan people,” Karzai told Obama today. How polite. Too bad he forgot to include soldiers’ lives lost on his gratitude list.

Our military is not used to defend our people but to defend interests. Oil. Opium. Resources. It is used to build nations, for empire. Forgetting (or ignoring) the Constitution, our defense secretary told our congress the executive branch answers to the UN now. Don’t worry though; they will inform the congress if they make further military plans. Good to know.

There was a time when the people working for our government were considered public servants. They were supposed to work for We the People. Now they work for Goldman Sachs and General Electric and Merck. Corporations are people, you know. Mitt Corporation Romney said so. America-the-Sold is like that line about how Sam Walton would roll over in his grave if he was alive to lay eyes on the monster his creation Walmart mutated into. Would our forefathers weep for the death of the nation and its freedoms they fought and bled for?

One more day of NATO. Pray for the protestors. Pray for peace. Pray for America.

My New Vid Series: SNARK of the WEEK | Sat. May 19, 2012 | News You Could Lose!

Ugh. I have a bit of an allergy thing, sorry about that. Anyway, so this is a new idea I had: I plan to start doing a weekly news wrap up to go over all the things I come across in a week that I just have to tell someone else about. I’m going to call it “Snark of the Week.” I plan to have a new installment up every Saturday, hopefully by the afternoon…didn’t quite happen this time, but it’s a noob so hopefully the next one will go smoother. (⊙_⊙’)

The gamut: NATO protesters are domestic terrorists who can be disappeared for any reason, US propaganda machine may be legalized (welcome to 1984!), ridiculous new dem laws and race-baiting training (if you don’t support Obama, you sir/ma’am are a RACIST! Just so you know…), vaccine irony and Obama admin. debating whether or not to test anthrax vaccine on our kids, the only guy in the WH with any CISPA sense left (no, really he quit), robot overlords might take over the world, oops on some bomb dropping, a sheriff who didn’t know his department owned drones, CPS protecting the services more than the child, TSA failing for the quadrillionth time, a quadrillion in derivatives and I’m sure there is something else but I can’t remember now.

2012 NATO Summit Occupied: The Perfect Police State Storm?

Melissa Melton
May 17, 2012

TSA-style checkpoints and bag searches. Barricades restricting street access. Heavily armed, militarized security. LRAD sound cannon weapons. Black hawk helicopter patrols. No fly zones with shoot-to-kill orders. Prepping Red Cross branches for mass evacuations. What used to be Chicago will now be turned into a locked down, federally protected “Red Zone” this weekend for the world leaders attending the 2012 North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Summit May 20-21.

The Perfect Storm?
One can hardly argue that this year’s summit is much more heavily guarded than in the past. Many Chicagoans have been warned to stay inside their homes near The Loop. Businesses have closed and people have been sent away or are leaving the city of their own accord. Those who stay and choose to populate the area during the two-day summit will no doubt be subject to invasive security screenings. Thousands of police officers from all across the city are being called out of their districts to report for duty in downtown Chicago. Chief U.S. District Judge Holderman signed a general order severely restricting who can enter the Dirksen Federal Courthouse during the summit. Other buildings have similar restricted access in place.

Seemingly undeterred, the Occupy movement is already on the move to face off against the police state security theater our government is parading out. (You can read about just some of the myriad reasons anyone would want to protest NATO here.) Free Speech Zones have been established, although the Constitution does not specify anything about the First Amendment being subjugated to any “zone.” H.R. 347, otherwise known as the “Trespass Bill,” seems to forget about the Constitution entirely; the bill makes it a federal crime to “impede or disrupt the orderly conduct of Government business or official functions” thereby completely outlawing peaceful protests or rallies for conferences like this one. Our nation has already witnessed a multitude of police brutality incidents since the Occupy movement began; this weekend could provide the biggest protest clash yet.

False Flag?
Red Cross branches are not the only organizations that have been put on notice of a possible mass evacuee influx should a “national security event” occur. Churches and universities have also been called upon. What could happen that would require thousands of displaced Chicagoans to need to evacuate?

These are hard times. Rumors abound. Did Larry Silverstein, the man who received a fortune in insurance claims on the World Trade Center (WTC) buildings following 9/11, purchase the Sears Tower in 2004? The same company that provided security for WTC also supplies it for the Sears Tower. Hm. Interesting.

Has anyone in the Occupy movement read about the recently released U.S. Army field manual documenting plans for Americans being interned into camps in the event of mass civil unrest? A DHS whistleblower story surfaced a few weeks ago claiming that Homeland Security is gearing up for all-out American civil war. The fact that the department recently purchased 450 million rounds of hollow-point ammunition does not do much to thwart that claim.

Obamanation of Desolation
In addition to Occupy, The Iraq Veterans Against War (IVAW) released a statement on May 8th that Iraq and Afghanistan veterans plan to march to the NATO summit and ceremoniously return their service metals in a gesture to protest the unending War on Terror:

“We were awarded these medals for serving in the Global War on Terror, a war based on lies and failed polices. This endless war has killed hundreds of thousands, stripped the humanity of all involved, and drained our communities of trillions of dollars, diverting funds from schools, clinics, libraries, and other public goods.” (IVAW.org)

Did President Obama not promise to end these unjust wars during his first campaign? Instead they have been extended and new military occupations expanded. While these veterans certainly deserve their right to free speech and peaceful protest, it has come to light that A) intelligence assessments released by the DHS and FBI in recent years have characterized returning veterans as top potential domestic terrorist threats with subsequent terror training drills propagating this idea, and B) the Occupy movement has, in large-part, been co-opted by globalist George Soros-backed groups to incite class warfare. According to the IVAW site, their upcoming NATO Summit unity march is sponsored by several such organizations, including the Chicago Democratic Socialists of America and the American Friends Service Committee which has received grants from Soros himself, his Open Society Institute, and The Rockefeller Foundation.

Can anyone say “Stirring the pot?

Regardless of what goes down this coming weekend, from false flag to fearmongering, our government has made it pretty clear this is no longer the America we once knew. This ever-expanding police state is being rolled out right in our faces to show exactly what kind of control grid we are living in.

Land of the free and home of the brave? More like land of the fearful and home of the compliant.

Be Safe.

(Infographic) FORWARD 2012: America’s Police State Descent (Jan-Apr)

I created this to show all the activities that have taken place just in the first four months of this year that have helped to propel America into a police state. People who do not believe this is happening cannot exactly explain all this away, can they? I cut it off an April. May could take up it’s own entire sheet.

(I’m sure I left some things out…so much has happened in such a short time…)
