SNARK of the WEEK | Memorial Day 2012 | News You Could Lose!

Welcome to a Memorial Day military-themed Snark… Considering last Saturday’s was unusually long, I decided to maybe start doing a couple a week and breaking it all down into smaller bits. This one seems to fit with the theme of the day.

The gamut: who cares about Posse Comitatus, the new and not improved big brother spy grid straight to you from the dystopian nightmares of George Orwell where everything down to using the word “snow” online might get you spied on, the unlawfulness and unconstitutionality of preventative/preemptive war, taxpayers pour a bajillion dollars into the runaway war machine, Hillary’s Yemeni propaganda campaign goes live, al-CIA-duh, Kentucky Fried Bilderbergers…and I’m sure there is something else but I can’t remember now.

Ah…the news…good times. It’s like a train wreck: you don’t want to witness the horror but you can’t look away. It’s worse than that one time your dad got drunk, dressed up in your mom’s swimsuit, and positioned a spotlight on himself in your driveway while he did his best rendition of Cher’s “Believe” for the whole neighborhood…something like that.

Evil Sickos Being Evil Sickos

(Warning, this post is graphic.)

First we have this:

See anything wrong here? Many of you who have been to my blog before know how strongly I oppose our unconstitutional drone wars that have murdered thousands of innocent people (or what Defense Secretary Leon Panetta dismisses as a “rare” 13%). Well, here’s our president casually JOKING about that. It’s funny, right?

How is anyone in this country still legitimately confused about why the rest of the world holds such great disdain for America and its foreign (empire-building) policies?

Quick question, do you think the families of the murdered innocent (babies, children, pregnant women, the elderly, whole families) think this is in any way even remotely funny? Laughable? Humorous? Fodder for a lame punch line at a White House correspondents dinner?

Figures have been released to suggest one in three killed in Pakistan drone attacks are innocent civilians. Perhaps Mr. Obama has never seen the pictures of the collateral damage i.e. - innocent babies who were droned to death. I’m pretty sure none of them are terrorists.

I can’t even bring myself to keep adding images to this, though there are SO MANY out there. It’s horrible. It’s painful.

Does this make any of you feel safer against drone bombed “suspected militants” who have had no trial because some guy in our government said so based on…? That seems just and fair.

Should someone who publicly jokes about predator drones have the power to decide who lives or dies by one? AND OUR PRESIDENT HAS APPROVED 30,000 DRONES TO BE UNLEASHED OVER AMERICAN SKIES! Makes you feel all secure, doesn’t it? Sure. Tell yourself they won’t be weaponized (even though some of them already are).

Next we have this:

Whatever your feelings are on Gaddafi, this is disgusting. Following Gaddafi’s death, the Libya rebels the UN/NATO/US put in to power there after Gaddafi spent months indiscriminately rounding up, torturing, interning, and killing Libya’s African population based solely on their skin color. So that’s better for Libya, huh? Ethnic cleansing? Explain to me the logic behind “Widespread crimes against humanity are more humanitarian.”

So, let me get this straight:

  • Al Qaeda-connected terrorists who were blamed for 9/11 attacks = bad.
  • Al Qaeda-connected rebels the US helps take over Libya for our own interests and who end up ethnic cleansing the African population there = good?

And here is our Secretary of State laughing it up at the news that someone was murdered. She practically bounced out of her seat with joy! That was her immediate reaction. Gaddafi was lynched, by the way, by those same “humanitarian” rebels. I’m pretty sure lynching someone after he surrenders is a war crime.

I don’t care who was murdered. I don’t care if Hitler was murdered. What kind of person has an automatic reaction to laugh it up with sheer glee at the news of someone’s gruesome death? Anyone’s death?

Oh, I know who!

psy·cho·path  (sk-pth)

n.
A person with an antisocial personality disorder, manifested in aggressive, perverted, criminal, or amoral behavior without empathy or remorse.

Evil sickos. It’s pretty simple. People in power positions who can kill people at a whim and who make jokes about killing people and laugh it up about murder and death are evil sickos.

But hey, vote Obama again because he supports your healthcare plan paying for birth control or the fact that he tosses out a hollow gesture to the homosexual community regarding gay marriage during a re-election year. That makes total sense.

SNARK of the WEEK | Sat. May 26, 2012 | News You Could Lose! #2

I’m baaaaaaaack. Round two. I had a really hard time choosing what to leave out this time because the news this week was MESSED UP.

The gamut: US favorable on giving Turkey armed drones, “birthers” are back, Illinois hates real food, loves Monsanto, Monsanto loves unleashing mutations, the UN wants to save the planet (just not the people living on it), buying our cheap trash from China, Merck sucks, flu shots help pregnant women if you are a eugenicist, World Health Org says Fukushima radiation is awesome, TSA wants to grope you — hires pedo bears to do it — and is training said pedos to detect bombs in our crotches, Eric Holder might get held in contempt (of humanity? already is) and the Dept. of Justice on obstructing justice, love the drones because the gov loves you, meet the felon who took 40% of the vote from Obama in WV (question remaining: why did 60% vote Obama???), coal plant closures cost Americans big in electricity bills, climate change and WWII are compared for the lose (not even making that up, and if you say I am, you are a denier!), don’t worry — Jamie Dimon Fed appt. is more “advisory” — too bad he took his own advice and lost billions…and I’m sure there is something else but I can’t remember now.

Ah…the news…good times. It’s like a train wreck: you don’t want to see the horror but you can’t look away. It’s worse than a bad soap opera written in a language you don’t know but there aren’t any other channels on your TV so you watch out of sheer boredom…something like that.

Random Weird Thing I Did Not Mention, But This Made Me Scared Simply Because It Exists: http://data.massivehealth.com/ People download an app and take pictures of what they eat and send them in to this massive database throughout the day from all over the world. Big brother much? The data is compiled in this international health initiative that keeps track of where healthy eating is happening with green (good), yellow (caution), and red (bad). It says, “Other apps tell you about your food. We tell you about yourself.” Creeeeeeeeeepy.

VERIFIED! Verification Obama was born in Hawaii. It’s verified. Yep. Definitely verified.

The fact that President Obama was indeed born in Hawaii could not get more verified if it tried. It will doubtless go down in many a record book as the most verified fact in the history of human existence. Sure, you might be saying to yourself, “What?! Who could possibly believe that BS? That’s just a Word doc some guy typed up. Anyone could do that in five minutes. I would sooner call something ‘verified’ if it was scrawled in feces on a Grand Central Station bathroom wall by an escaped mental patient!” to which Hawaii would reply, “Hey, look over there! Shiny things!”

My New Vid Series: SNARK of the WEEK | Sat. May 19, 2012 | News You Could Lose!

Ugh. I have a bit of an allergy thing, sorry about that. Anyway, so this is a new idea I had: I plan to start doing a weekly news wrap up to go over all the things I come across in a week that I just have to tell someone else about. I’m going to call it “Snark of the Week.” I plan to have a new installment up every Saturday, hopefully by the afternoon…didn’t quite happen this time, but it’s a noob so hopefully the next one will go smoother. (⊙_⊙’)

The gamut: NATO protesters are domestic terrorists who can be disappeared for any reason, US propaganda machine may be legalized (welcome to 1984!), ridiculous new dem laws and race-baiting training (if you don’t support Obama, you sir/ma’am are a RACIST! Just so you know…), vaccine irony and Obama admin. debating whether or not to test anthrax vaccine on our kids, the only guy in the WH with any CISPA sense left (no, really he quit), robot overlords might take over the world, oops on some bomb dropping, a sheriff who didn’t know his department owned drones, CPS protecting the services more than the child, TSA failing for the quadrillionth time, a quadrillion in derivatives and I’m sure there is something else but I can’t remember now.

A Nation of Sheep Breeds a Government of Wolves!

(Note: I saw this rad breakdown of our current socioeconomic situation in the comments section of another of the myriad ridiculous mainstream media articles that have come out trying to claim the president was born in Hawaii and stumble over the 1991 literary agency booklet that said he was born in Kenya through several versions for 16 YEARS passing it off as just an attempt to “make him look more interesting.” Lulz! Anyway, had to pass this summation on.)

WILL THE USA SURVIVE?

The folks who are getting the free stuff, don’t like the folks who are paying for the free stuff, because the folks who are paying for the free stuff can no longer afford to pay for both the free stuff and their own stuff.

The folks who are paying for the free stuff want the free stuff to stop, and the folks who are getting the free stuff want even more free stuff on top of the free stuff they are already getting!

Now… The people who are forcing the people who pay for the free stuff have told the people who are RECEIVING the free stuff, that the people who are PAYING for the free stuff, are being mean, prejudiced, and racist.

So… The people who are GETTING the free stuff have been convinced they need to hate the people who are paying for the free stuff by the people who are forcing some people to pay for their free stuff, and giving them the free stuff in the first place.

We have let the free stuff giving go on for so long that there are now more people getting free stuff than paying for the free stuff.

Now understand this. All great democracies have committed financial suicide somewhere between 200 and 250 years after being founded. The reason? The voters figured out they could vote themselves money from the treasury by electing people who promised to give them money from the treasury in exchange for electing them.

The United States officially became a Republic in 1776, 235 years ago. The number of people now getting free stuff outnumbers the people paying for the free stuff. We have one chance to change that in 2012.

Failure to change that spells the end of the United States as we know it.

A Dictator Wearing a Rainbow Halo Is Still a Dictator

Melissa Melton
May 14, 2012

This week brought President Obama’s announcement that he supports gay marriage. The expected social circus followed. Upcoming Newsweek and The New Yorker covers will show Obama christened as “The First Gay President” complete with rainbow angel halo and the white house depicted with rainbow pillars respectively. All anyone seems to be able to talk, no, argue about is gay rights and Obama’s support for same-sex marriage.

Obama Rainbow Halo Newsweek Cover

Obama Gay Marriage White House New York Times Cover

Mitt Romney has come out in opposition of Obama, stating he believes marriage should be between a man and a woman. So it would appear, according to the mainstream media’s seemingly endless victory lap for Obama’s leftist pandering, our entire 2012 presidential election now rests on this one issue and two opposing candidates (ignoring Ron Paul as usual, of course).

Back to reality: in order for the homosexual or liberal constituency to seriously consider another Obama vote, they have a lot of forgetting to do.

Debt, the Economy, and Unemployment
While it’s clear that Obama takes credit for any positives (are there any positives?) and readily blames his Republican predecessor when things go bad, our president cannot deny that he has raised the national debt more than any other in America’s history by a whopping $5 trillion dollars. Obama explained his take on big government spending last month at an engagement at the Portland Museum of Art when he said “government investments…made this country great.” Notice it was not the American people’s hard work that made this country great. It was the government deciding how to spend our money that made this country great.

Obama has provided massive federal bailouts to companies that take our money only to ship our nation’s jobs overseas. Unemployment, gas prices, inflation, and the number of impoverished Americans are all up. A record-breaking number are stuck on the government dole. We are in the worst recession since The Great Depression. Our president has sold us into perpetual debt slavery with the global banking elite. As you can tell, he is obviously quite concerned about this; he proves it by taking a multitude of lavish vacations, including a multi-million dollar, 17-day trip to Hawaii last Christmas, all at the taxpayers’ expense.

Warmongering
For being the most militarily aggressive president in decades, Obama certainly tries to pretend he isn’t. His administration claims the War on Terror is over, but Obama has not kept a single campaign promise of ending any wars and has, in fact, expanded military operations from what George W. Bush started. New projections show U.S. troops will stay in Afghanistan until 2024. More American soldiers have died under Obama in less than four years than all eight years of Bush Jr. Drone strikes have also expanded under Obama, most recently across Pakistan and Yemen. Talks of “regime-changing” Syria in a similar fashion to Libya abound. All these strikes and power grabs are enacted without congressional approval. Funny how liberal voters were downright outraged when waterboarding was allowed under Bush Jr., but Obama’s drone strikes which kill hundreds of innocent civilians are met with quiet indifference.

Oh, and Obama has recently sent troops in to “help” (read: even more U.S. military involvement) Uganda by going after Joseph Kony following the debunked Invisible Children social propaganda machine released a video decrying the small-time warlord. This is regardless of the fact that Ugandans have vigorously protested U.S. military intervention and Kony has not been seen in years.

Trayvon Martin and Inciting Race War
When Hispanic George Zimmerman shot African American teen Trayvon Martin in Florida earlier this year, Obama famously commented “If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon.” While many claimed this was not an Obama camp attempt to shamelessly exploit the incident for political gain and incite racial divide, a few days later the New Black Panther Party stepped in line to clamor for outright violence and Al Sharpton called for “civil disobedience.” This is regardless of the fact that details of the incident are sketchy at best and photos of a bloody Zimmerman suggest the shooting might have been in self-defense.

In the days that followed Martin’s death, incidences of black-on-white crime curiously went unreported in the mainstream media. NBC news was instead caught doctoring Zimmerman’s 911 call to purposely make him sound racist, furthering feeding the mob frenzy. When another black Floridian teen was sentenced in the same month for the shooting deaths of two Caucasian British tourists, Obama was curiously silent, refusing to comment despite the tourists’ parents having written the president several letters. Perhaps these tourists lacked “political value?”

NDAA/NDRP and the Growing Police State
Not only did President Obama fail to veto the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) as he claimed he would, it was later revealed some of the most controversial pieces of that legislation were pushed for by his administration. The act allows for the indefinitely detention of American citizens suspected of terrorism without due process. Obama also signed the National Defense Resources Preparedness executive order, allowing himself the power to take control of the country’s industry and resources in the event of a “potential threat to the U.S.” aka peacetime martial law. In addition, Obama’s America has undergone vast police state expansion including the National Security Agency’s construction of a $2 billion dollar data facility in Utah which they refuse to answer Congressional inquiry about. The Department of Homeland Security purchased 450 rounds of hollow-point .40 caliber bullets without explanation (more than enough bullets to shoot every citizen in America at least once) and the Army purchased $266 million dollars of ammo as well. Drones have been approved to patrol U.S. skies. The Transportation Security Administration has expanded operations, with undercover agents caught spying on city buses. The Supreme Court ruled police can strip search American citizens for any reason. Though the president says he will veto the privacy-killing Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA), based on his previous inability to keep promises including the one he made about vetoing the NDAA, many of us would be shocked at this point if the president didn’t sign CISPA.

But Wait, There’s More
Oh, and don’t forget that somehow, in a modern, technologically advanced time when we as a society have less privacy than ever before in the history of mankind, we know less about our sitting president than we have ever known about any president since America began.

Besides the proven fake birth certificate and draft card, unreleased or missing Obama records include: kindergarten records, Punahou School records, Occidental College records, Columbia University records, Columbia thesis, Harvard Law School records, Harvard Law Review articles, University of Chicago scholarly articles, Illinois State Bar Association records, Illinois State Senate records, medical records, passport records, marriage licenses and divorce records, and adoption records.

Two things we do know for certain. First, Obama’s mentor and Weather Underground terrorist Bill Ayers openly discussed the murder of 25 million Americans in re-education camps like the ones discussed in a recently leaked U.S. Army field manual regarding the internment of political dissidents. Second, Obama has managed to accomplish in less than four years what it took the Soviet Union 60 to complete.

Obviously his strategy is to polarize the country on issues like race and gay marriage, so that everyone will be too preoccupied to remember the overwhelmingly more damaging issues that prove our president is marching America straight down a black hole to totalitarian dictatorship hell.

Is anyone really buying this new Obama pro-gay election ploy? Can homosexual and liberal voters honestly justify overlooking all the other damage this president has done to our country simply because he has donned a rainbow halo?

If so, that is truly sad.

Obama’s Newest Campaign Infographic Wins His ‘War on Coal’ by Pretending It Doesn’t Exist

Melissa Melton
May 9, 2012

The Obama campaign’s use of trendy infographics are just so cool, aren’t they? One of his newest is an interactive energy wheel.

Users can click on different types of energy to see how the Obama Administration will fit that source into his so-called “All-of-the-Above” plan for America. The digital tinker toy is just so fancy schmancy, users might not even notice something(s) missing.

The Washington Examiner’s Conn Carroll points out the first of two major problems with this picture:

Coal makes up almost half of all electricity production in the United States. When rich liberals plug in their Chevy Volts, odds are good that the power recharging their batteries is coming from coal. Yet Obama completely leaves this fuel source out of his all of the above energy policy. Without coal, our electricity prices would skyrocket.

Coal produces somewhere between 46% and 50% of our nation’s energy (depending on which source you consult and when).

Remember all those promises Obama made during his initial campaign about bankrupting the coal industry? Do his supporters think those were just jokes? Or do they simply not realize how that reality will actually affect them on a personal level when put in practice? In the last four years, we have witnessed the Obama Administration’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) crack down hard, putting through billions in costly mandated compliance including the first-ever greenhouse gas regulations which are stringent enough to ensure the coal industry dies five times over. With standards for allowable carbon dioxide emissions now cut in half, no one would even dream of building a new plant, and closures are sure to continue across the nation. In addition to exorbitant energy costs being passed down to each and every American, the ripples of destruction from these new rules will also include lost jobs and lost revenue in states where coal is a major economic component.

But, but the global warming! Cower in fear from the deadly global warming! The globe! It’s getting warmer and stuff! (Insert evidence from everywhere showing time and again CO2 is one of the building blocks of life and cow farts are not directly responsible for polar bears drowning in the Arctic.)

By now we should all be well aware global warming means we need to rush out right away to pay Al Gore for some carbon credits for being the filthy breathing climate changers we are…although…last time I checked, it wasn’t a coal plant melting down at Fukushima and putting the rest of the world in grave danger.

Something else was missing from Obama’s fancy infographic. There are over 2,000 hydropower plants in the United States, making it our largest renewable energy resource. According to the National Hydropower Association, hydropower makes up 7% of the total power in the nation and has been a clean and reliable source of U.S. energy for the last 100 years. The top ten hydropower-producing states are Washington, Oregon, New York, California, Alabama, Idaho, Tennessee, Montana, Arizona, and North Carolina. While I was too lazy to hunt down figures for how many jobs are tied to hydropower in those states combined, it is probably a safe bet it totals more jobs than Obama’s failed Solyndra ever produced. The Hoover Dam alone generates enough power to serve 1.3 million people a year.

Conspicuously, hydropower is also missing from Obama’s energy infographic. Was it just not trendy enough to fit? When Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) questioned a member of Obama’s staff on why hydropower was missing, she could not seem to get a straight answer and had to assume the president’s people will “keep working to get hydropower listed.” So, no worries 1.3 million people in Nevada and Arizona. Just assume it is all good (and buy some candles).

In pondering the EPA further, why would an agency with the primary purpose of finding new ways to regulate things ever be motivated to stop? Think about it. If the EPA did it’s job honestly and properly, it would self-destruct a little because it would have regulated everything into a state of improvement and eventual stability, right? At some point, no more new regulations would be needed; thus, would the agency at its current size and budget not be rendered a tad unnecessary? If the EPA really did its job right by its very nature, it would downsize itself. Just a thought.

Like everything else, Obama has used infomercial rhetoric such as the American people should just accept his marvelous plan’s added energy costs on the front end because it will save us all money some magical day in the future (never mind the fact that we’re all broke now and many unemployed Americans have tried for so long to find a job they have just given up and fallen out of the system at this point). This “Obamalogic” holds true with the advice that we should all run out and buy the new energy efficient cars his campaign website claims will save us all $8,000 a year at the gas pump by 2025! Woo-hoo! That’s so super exciting (if you can afford the car’s $30,000 + price tag to begin with, oh wait, you are a middle class American living in Obamaland, so you probably can’t even afford the now $4/gallon gas for your actual car).

Also, go ahead and ignore the fact that General Motors is using billions in U.S. taxpayer bailout money to ship the manufacturing of those new energy efficient electric vehicles Obama wants us all to buy over to China! Guess the government didn’t lie to us when it said the bailout would create “green jobs”; they just forgot to mention it wouldn’t be creating those new jobs here. When Obama says he thinks it’s good for everybody to “spread the wealth around,” he means it!

Well, it’s just too bad “trendy use of interactive digital design” isn’t a major campaign platform. Speaking of, I made a new one to go in Obama’s swag bag with his energy infographic:

I think it’s fitting, don’t you?

FORWARD! (Into the dark.)
